Summary
Clean install Sage Fixed Assets when getting installation errors.
Cause
One or more Crystal Reports .NET components did not register correctly during the installation from the Sage Fixed assets client.
Issues during installation can cause errors including:
- Retrieving the COM class Factory for component with CLSID {168B004A-CA9C-4824-B132-682934A43B17} failed due to the following error: 800a0030.
- Retrieving the COM class Factory for component with CLSID {F734A321-8381-4FFD-A614-139E8906DC83} failed due to the following error: 800703e6.
- Retrieving the COM class Factory for component with CLSID
- Error: "Method Not Found: "Void Sage.FAS.BACustReports.IFASRptParms.set_RptID(Int32)" when running Depreciation Summary Report.e
- Error "The Document has not been opened"
Resolution
Remove all Sage Fixed Assets products
- Open Control Panel.
- Uninstall all Sage Fixed Assets programs.
- Depreciation
- Lite
- Network Client
- Premier Client
If the Server and Client are on the same machine, remove server components
- Uninstall server components if you use Network or Premier.
- Go to SFAServ\Common.
- Confirm the folder contains no DLL files after uninstall.
Remove remaining folders
Rename program folders
- Rename:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage Fixed Assets
- Rename:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects
- Caution: Renaming the SAP BusinessObjects folder affects other Crystal Reports installations.
Clean the registry
Remove leftover registry key
- Open Regedit.
- Go to:
- HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432Node\Best Software
- Delete the key if it exists.
Reinstall the application
Install latest version
- Install the current version of Sage Fixed Assets.
- Open the program to confirm the issue is resolved.
