Password requirements for Password Security

Password requirements for Application Authentication based password security in Sage Fixed Assets including password length.

Application Authentication has the following requirements for all users in Sage Fixed Assets:

• 1-25 characters in length
• Case sensitive
• Does not require upper and lower case
• Cannot be blank
• Special characters and symbols are optional

If using Window Authentication, the user will not need to enter a password. The program uses the credentials of the Windows Authenticated user. Supervisor will use the above password requirements for both Application and Windows Authentication. See How to set up Password Security to set up Windows Authentication.

Note: The Supervisor password will not expire and has no lockouts due to failed attempts.
