How to boot into selective startup

Resolution

CAUTION: This solution needs advanced Operating System knowledge. Consult your system administrator for help. Sage isn't liable for issues caused by improper changes to the Windows Registry. Always back up your data before applying advanced solutions.

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open a Run line.
  2. Type msconfig and press Enter to open the System Configuration utility.
  3. On the General tab, uncheck Load startup items.
  4. Select the Services tab.
  5. Check Hide all Microsoft Services.
  6. Select Disable All.
  7. Select the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
  8. Select startup items one at a time and click Disable to disable them. Note: These can later be re-enabled.
  9. Close the Task Manager and click OK on the System Configuration screen.
  10. Restart the Computer.
