Cause

Reports can be printed landscape but the next time it's printed, it goes back to portrait.

Resolution

Many GL Reports have the option to be printed as landscape and saved as a template. Using GL Detail Report as the report example, follow these steps:

  1. Open General Ledger, Reports
  2. Choose Report (in this case, General Ledger Detail Report)
  3. Choose Setup
    • Choose printer that you will be using
    • Select Preferences
    • Change to Landscape
    • Select OK
    • Apply
    • OK
    • On the General Ledger Detail Report Panel Checkmark the Print Condensed box.
  4. In the upper right hand corner, select Save
    • Leave Report Setting as is
    • Under Office Merge Options, click the box Always use this template
    • Name the Template
    • Choose OK
  5. Preview to be sure your report saved properly.
  6. Print your report.
