Error after update to Sage HRMS

Summary

Trying to log into Sage Payroll getting "An error occurred and a valid license couldn’t be found".

Description

Getting an error message that they cannot access or activate the company name because Sage Payroll has not been activated.

Resolution

  1. Exit all Users from Sage HRMS.
  2. Access Sage Payroll, Sage Payroll and login to Sage 300.
  3. From Administrative Services, select Data Activation.

  4. If modules are missing, the system requires you to install them:

    1. Backup Payroll database
    2. Click Data Activation
    3. Checkbox the available modules
    4. Click Next
    5. Click Activate
    6. Click Close
    7. Log out of Sage Payroll
    8. Launch Sage HRMS
    9. Select Setup, System, Enterprise Setup, Modify Employer
    10. Activate The Apply button, enter a space at the end of the address line,
    11. click Apply and then click OK
    12. Login and retry the Payroll report
