How to rebase a Remote Data Access company in Sage 50 Accounting.
- Sage Remote Data Access works by syncing local copies of a company with a copy on our cloud servers
- If there's an issue with the cloud copy, you can rebase the company by overwriting the cloud copy with a working local copy
TIP: Rebase restores the last accessed local copy of the company over the copy stored in Remote Data Access. This overwrites any data in the cloud copy that doesn't appear on the local computer. You'll need to re-enter any missing data manually.
- Choose the computer with the most recent accessible copy of the company data to use for the rebase.
- Inform all users that you intend to rebase the company. Have them back up their local copies to preserve any data not in the rebase copy.
- Open the company on the computer chosen for the rebase.
- Create a backup of your local data.
- Select Help, Support Utilities, and then select Rebase Remote Data Access Company.
- Click Close on the successfully uploaded to Remote Data Access message.
- Verify that the company opens without error on the other computers.
- If data is missing, restore local backups as new companies to view the missing data.
- Re-enter any missing data manually.
