Oregon (OR) Statewide Transit Tax

Setup needed in version 2018 Sage 100 to implement this Oregon Statewide Transit Tax:
  • Define the G/L account numbers in the Payroll, Setup, Company Tax Group Setup for the Employee Other field if it is not already populated.
  • Select Payroll, Setup, Tax Profile Maintenance.
    • For existing Tax Profiles that use any Oregon Tax Location code, select the box on the Oregon Statewide Transit Tax Withholding OR the Oregon (NR) Statewide Transit Tax Withholding.
    • NEW Tax Profiles using any Oregon Tax Location will default with the Oregon Statewide Transit Tax Withholding if Both is selected. If Work and Residence are different locations, manually select or unselect the appropriate Oregon State Transit Tax Withholding or the Oregon (NR) Statewide Transit Tax Withholding.

The Oregon Statewide Transit Tax is only be available for Sage 100 version 2018 and Payroll and higher after installing the Payroll Tax Update within the Payroll module released 6/25/2018. If you did not update when prompted, select Payroll, Utilities and run the Payroll Tax Update task.

Legacy versions (2017 and prior) will not be supported for this new tax.

  • Options are to upgrade to Sage 100 version 2018.1 with Payroll 2.18.1 (minimum) or
  • Install Sage 100 version 2018.1 with Payroll 2.18.1(minimum) in another location for payroll. If you use Job Cost or integrate Job Cost with Time Card, this is not an option.
