- The purpose is when the user creates records that the record retains a specific time stamp.
- The Time Stamp comes from the Runtime Process Server’s Time Zone configuration on the Operating System.
- Sign in to Em/X3 as an administrative user with user and endpoint editing rights.
- Go to Administration, Administration, Endpoints, X3 Solutions
- The X3 Solution page has a section at the bottom labeled Runtimes
- The Runtimes grid is a list of Runtime Process Servers

- Assign each Runtime Process Server a X3 server tag name.
- Save and exit the function to save the setting for the X3 server tags
- Go to Administration, Users, Groups
- Select a Group
- Click Edit
- Fill in the field labeled “X3 server TAGS” with a corresponding tag from the x3 solution runtime configuration in the previous set of steps
- Save
- Exit function
- The group now has successfully been configured to use a specific Runtime Process Server.
- All users within that group will only connect to the one Runtime Process Server
- All records created while attached to the specific Runtime Process Server will maintain that server's Time Zone and Time Stamp records accordingly.
