How to extract a group of assets to a new company

Note: The Extract Assets feature in Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation allows assets to be extracted into a new company. You can't extract or copy assets into an existing company. The extract doesn't impact the company you extracted assets from. If you want to add assets to an existing company, add the assets in an existing company or do a custom import.

In Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation:

1. Create a group of the assets you want to extract. See How to create a group.

2.  

   Go to: File, Company Utilities, Extract Assets.

    

    

    

    

3. Select the database, company and group of assets to extract.

    

    

    

    

4. Enter a New Company name. Select the database to extract into.

    

    

    

    

5. Click Ok.

Note: Once you complete the extract, you can use the Merge Company function (See How to merge companies) to include these assets in another company.
