Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

Can you use a different currency symbol in Sage 50 Accounting? Likewise, can you use a non-Western alphabet?

Description

  • Does Sage 50 Accounting support non-U.S. currency or non-Western alphabets (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic, Russian, for example)?

Resolution

CAUTION: Sage support can't assist with third-party products, hardware, report customizations, or state and federal tax questions. Refer to our Scope of Support for more info. Contact your Sage business partner, network administrator, or accountant for assistance.

Sage 50—U.S. Edition is designed to function with a currency of US dollars only and to use the standard English alphabet.

The currency symbol can be changed on printed checks and invoices by customizing the form design; see How to customize forms. However, there are reports and other areas of the program where the dollar sign is hard coded into the programming and cannot be changed.
