Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

This article provides the process to resolve errors that can occur when running reports using groups that have long lists of critera.

Cause

The group that the report is using has too many lines of criteria.

Resolution

Consolidate the criteria in the report.

In some cases, complex groups in Group Manager will not produce reports due to conflicting or excessive group statements. Replacing the statements with a custom field may resolve the issue.

In Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation:

  1. in the Asset List view, select to the group that is causing the error message from the dropdown.
  2. Click Edit, Select All to highlight the assets in that group.
  3. Click Edit, Replace, and use an unused User Field with a generic word such as "test".
  4. Repeat the above step for additional criteria until all desired assets have the value of "test" in the same user field.
  5. Create a new group with a single Group Criteria such as "User Field 7 is test".
