Summary
Why is an asterisk symbol displaying in the hours column on my 5-4-3-21 ACA Full-Time Equivalent Count report in Sage 100 Contractor?
Cause
- An asterisk * will be shown next to any numbers that have a possible discrepancy between actual payroll hours entered into the Hours column on the grid rows of the 5-2-2 Payroll Record and the number of ACA Hours entered on the same payroll record.
- There are no Hours entered in the grid of the 5-2-2 Payroll Record and there are no ACA Hours entered for the same 5-2-2 payroll record. For example a payroll record for a salaried employee or a payroll record for a bonus check.
Resolution
- From the 5-4-3-21 ACA Full-Time Equivalent Count report, drill down on any values that are flagged with an asterisk symbol next to them.
- Drill down on any payroll records that display a value in the difference column and review the record.
- Ensure the total number of hours listed in the footer of the payroll record matches the total number of hours entered in the ACA Hours fields in the header of the record.
- Make any corrections to the ACA Hours fields as required. After entering changes click File, Save.
- Print the 5-4-3-21 ACA Full Time Equivalent Count report and verify the information.
- Update to the current version of Sage 100 Contractor.
