Does the Period End Date of my last Payroll affect my W-2s?

W-2s should only include dollars paid during the reported calendar year. Payroll always posts according to the check date. Checks dated January or later aren’t included in the previous year's W-2 totals. These checks won’t post until you close the year in Payroll.
