The EI Rate is incorrect

The incorrect employer rate entered in the Employer Percentage field for the tax.

To verify the employer EI rate:

1. From the Navigation Pane, select Setup, Canadian Payroll, and Income Taxes.
2. Select the code that’s incorrect.
3. On the 'Basic info' tab, verify the correct percentage entered in the Employer Percentage field.

 NOTE: If more than 1 EI rate exists, verify the other rates (for example, EIR1, EIR2, etc.). 

The program doesn’t automatically update this field when it changes, return to this area and make the necessary changes to the employer percentage.
