ARCHIVED Error: "Sage 50 update could not be completed" caused by locked files

• Locked files
• Other running processes
• The computer needs to be rebooted

Check for running processes

1. Right-click Task Bar, and then select Start Task Manager or press Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys.
2. Select Processes tab (or Details tab, if on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10).
3. Select PeachtreePrefetcher.exe, PeachtreeBusinesslogic.exe, zenengnsvc32.exe, Peachupd.exe, PTXA[Release].exe, PeachtreeBackup.exe or Peachw.exe, and then select End Process or End Task.
4. Install the update manually. See How to install updates manually.

Reboot

1. Reboot the computer.
2. Run the update manually. See How to install updates manually.
