Error: "Fiscal Period is locked" occurs when calculating Payroll

Summary

In Sage 300, when you calculate payroll, payroll can’t retrieve information from the Fiscal Calendar.

Cause

The Calculate Payroll task can’t access one of these:

The Pay Period End Date and Check Date don’t exist in Common Services, Fiscal Calendar
This Period is locked in Common Services, Fiscal Calendar

Resolution

Make one or both of these changes using the Common Services, Fiscal Calendar window:

Add the fiscal year you're using to calculate payroll
Unlock the period you’re using to calculate payroll
