Description

The 1st January 2024 payroll tax update will add support for INSIT First-Time Dependent Exemptions using the Special 4 Allowance field on the employee record.

Resolution

The following fields on the Withholding Info tab in the employee records allow you to claim the appropriate exemptions from INSIT.

  • Personal Exemptions (Employee & Spouse) - State Allowances field
  • Dependent Exemptions - Special 2 Allowances field
  • Adopted Child Dependent Exemptions - Special 3 Allowances field
  • First-Time Dependent Exemptions - Special 4 Allowances field
