Why is Optional Name populated during Form 1099 Tax Reporting?

Optional Name is populated since the Vendor Type selected in Vendor Maintenance is set to Individual under the 1099 Form information on the Additional tab.

If the Vendor should be reported as a Business, change the Vendor Type in Vendor Maintenance:

1. Open Accounts Payable, Main, Vendor Maintenance
2. Select, Vendor No
3. Click, Additional tab
4. Under 1099 Form select Vendor Type, Business instead of Individual
5. Note, that the screen changes from Social Security Number to Taxpayer ID No
6. Confirm that this information is correct with your vendor
7. Click, Accept
