Recipient first name and last name missing on 1099

Summary

Recipient Last Name, Recipient First Name, and Recipient Middle Name don’t show in the 1099 preparer.

Cause

Sage 50 doesn’t have Recipient Name fields in vendor records.

Resolution

  • 1099 vendors using Social Security Numbers (Individual form type): Enter the Recipient Last Name and First Name in the 1099 preparer form manually.
  • If the vendor isn’t using an SSN, click Check if FEIN under the TIN Flag column.
  • For vendors using a TIN, it doesn't require the Recipient First and Last name.
