Year-End Wizard reminder is frozen

Missing the latest Product and Services (P&S) update.

Install the latest P&S update on the computer

1. Open a different company or a sample company. If it automatically opens your company and gets stuck on the Year-End Wizard reminder, skip to the next section.
2. Go to Services > Check for Updates > Check Now.
3. P&S updates install without any user interaction. Click OK on the message, "There are no updates available at this time."
4. Close Sage 50 and then reopen it to install the P&S update.
5. Verify that you're able to open Sage 50 without getting stuck on the Year-End Wizard reminder.

Force Sage 50 open without opening the company

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc on the keyboard to open the Task Manager.
2. Right-click Sage 50 Accounting on the Task Manager and select End task.
3. Right-click the Sage 50 Accounting icon that you use to open the program.
4. Select Properties.
5. Right-click the highlighted contents of the Target line and select Copy.
6. Click the Cancel button.
7. On the keyboard, press the Windows Key + R to open a Run window.
8. Press Ctrl+V on the keyboard to paste the copied line into the Run line.
9. At the end of the pasted content, add a space after Peachw.exe and type xxx.
10. Click OK. Sage 50 will open without opening a company.
11. Go to Services > Check for Updates > Check Now.
12. P&S updates install without any user interaction. Click OK on the message, "There are no updates available at this time."
13. Close Sage 50 and then reopen it to install the P&S update.
