Description

This error may appear as "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: str."

"Incompatible data. One or more fields in the source file are not compatible with the database in this application. Some possible causes are an incorrect mapping of columns or inconsistent data within the source file."

Cause

  • Parsing issue in the 2025.1 Planning
  • Adding the header to an import file

Resolution

  1. Download Planning fixes 20251.zip.
  2. For each file, right-click the downloaded zip file and select Properties. Check Unblock and click Apply and OK. 
    •  NOTE: If you see the Unblock option, you must select it before extracting   
    • If the Unblock box is not there, move on to the next step 
  3. Extract the Planning.UI.dll (3/18/2025), Sage.SFA.BusinessLogic.dll (3/18/2025), UI.Application.dll (3/12/2025), Planning.Globals.dll (2/27/2025) and Sage.SFA.LocalSettings.dll (3/12/2025) from the downloaded zip.  
  4. On the Client, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage Fixed Assets\<Product folder>. Rename the existing Planning.UI.dll, Planning.Globals.dll, Sage.SFA.BusinessLogic.dll, UI.Application.dlland Sage.SFA.LocalSettings.dll  to .old and copy the extracted files to the same location. 
    •  NOTE: <Product folder> will be Planning, Planning - Network or Premier Planning depending on your product
