Custom import hangs on Step 6

Summary

Work around to fix the import hanging on Step 6 for the Select fields dialog in Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation.

Cause

An issue in the file prevents Sage Fixed Assets from displaying the import file contents in the Select Fields dialog.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Sage Fixed Assets versions 2026.0 and higher. 

  • Copy the contents of the import file into a new clean spreadsheet. Paste as values then import the new file
  • Alternatively, you can also save the current Import file as a CSV and import the CSV file

In both cases, make sure to format the date to MM/DD/YYYY.
