Error in Validating Address of Sage 500 customer

Validating the Address of any customer in Sage 500, whether a new or existing address, gives an error from USPS.
Error Message:  “Error (80040B1A) Error.  Your Web Tool API service has been disrupted because we’ve been unable to contact you about migrating to the newest version of our API software.  Fill out the following Migration Feedback From to begin upgrading and restoring your service. https://froms.osi.office365.us/r/n6njkKcCaz.  After completing the form, contact [email protected].  Thank you for your attention to this matter”.

Set up USPS for Sage 500

The new version of United States Postal Service (USPS) address validation relies on the use of the TLS 1.2 security protocol.

Only operating systems that support the TLS 1.2 protocol can use this fix.

 NOTE: This fix applies to Sage 500 ERP versions 2018 - 2026. 

Sage has conducted the testing of the installation package exclusively only in supported Microsoft Operating Systems.

• Windows server 2019, 2022, 2025

Sage didn’t verify compatibility with older and other operating systems.
