Adding qualified overtime premium fields to a check form

Summary

Install Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP9 or Sage BusinessWorks SP2 installed to add the new reportable overtime (OT) premium fields to your check form.

Use a standard check stub that has the field included

Selecting the form

  1. PR, Processing, Print Payroll Checks.
  2. Click Select Form.
  3. Select one of the updated payroll forms listed above.
     NOTE: Be on Sage BusinessWorks 2024 SP9 or Sage BusinessWorks 2025 SP2 to access these forms.

Follow the steps

  1. Select PR, Utilities, Maintain PR Forms.
  2. Select the check stub you currently use and select Edit.
  3. Edit your form to add the desired fields.  
    • Add a DBText Fields to your form by selecting the DBText option.
      DBText toolbar icon to add text field for vacation and sick. 
    • Click the spot on your check form where you want to add the field.
      Place the field on the form.
    • After the DBText field, select the desired field from the drop-down below.
      Select the desired field from the drop-down.
      • Examples of field names include
        • Check Stub: Nontaxable OT Amt
        • Check Stub: Nontaxable OT Hrs
        • Check Stub: Nontaxable OT Amt (YTD)
        • Check Stub: Nontaxable OT Hrs (YTD)
    • Add a description next to the DBText field added, by selecting the Label button.
      Label button.
    • Place the label on the form, then type the text into the Set Value box.
      Click in the form to place the label at the desired location..
      The text you add will display on the form.
      Add the text you want to display on the label.
    • Select Form, Save.
