| How to locate company directories |
Resolution | Within an open company - Select Maintain, Company Information, and locate the Directory line in the window that opens.The directory line indicates the location of the open company.
- Make a note of the Directory location.
From the Open Company menu - Click File > Open Company. Any companies located in your data path will show there.
- Make a note of the Directory location.
Search for your company files using Windows search - Open File Explorer.
- Click into the Search field.
- Select All Files and Folders.
- Enter COMPANY.DAT.
- Make sure View is set to Detail. The location of each search result shows in the Folder column.
- If there are company folders outside of the data path, copy them and paste them into the data path to move them.
Locate your company files using the Registry Editor - On the keyboard, press the WINDOWS KEY+R keys.
- Type Regedit and click OK.
- On the left pane, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Peachtree\Version.
- Expand the key for your version of Sage:
- Version 2024: 31
- Version 2023: 30
- Version 2022: 29
- and so forth, for older versions
- Expand Open History, and select the flavor folder beneath it (PTXA, PCW, PPA, etc.).
- On the right pane, a list of recently opened companies displays, with the company directory of each given in the Data column.
- When done, close the Registry Editor.
