Resolution | Option 1: Clean up company folder- Close Sage 50 on all computers.
- Browse to the individual company folder that you are unable to open. See How to locate company directories.
- Delete or rename the following files:
- COSESS.DAT
- *.RPT
- *.PTR
- *.PTL
- *.MKD
- *.LCK
- *.DATptl
- *.DATtemp
- *.DDF
Option 2: Close open files - Have all users exit Sage 50.
- Log into the server/host computer as administrator.
- Go to Computer Management, Shared Folders, Open Files.
- Close any file that is open from the company data folder.
