The desktop shortcut icon is missing
Description

There are two options to restore a missing desktop icon when it goes missing. You can recreate it from the start menu or by browsing to the executable located in the Sage 50 Program Path.

Resolution

Copy the Shortcut from the Start Menu

  1. Click the Windows Start button.
  2. Select Sage 50 Accounting 20xx.
  3. Click and hold on the orange Sage 50 Accounting 20xx shortcut and drag it onto the Desktop.

 TIP: You can right-click the shortcute and select More, and then select Pin to Taskbar to place the icon on the Windows taskbar 

Recreate from the Sage 50 Program Path

 1. Browse to the program path (C:\Program Files(x86)\Sage\Peachtree\). See How to the Sage 50 program path.
 2. Locate Peachw.exe and right-click it. Select Send To, Desktop (create shortcut).
 NOTE: Uninstall and reinstall Sage 50 if the executable does not show in the Sage 50 Program Path.
