How to delete the DDF files in a company folder

  1. Locate your company's directory folder.
  2. Close Sage 50 and have any other users exit the company.
  3. Press the Windows key + E to open the File Explorer.
  4. Browse to your company data folder.
  5. Click the Type heading to sort the files by type.
    • If you don't see the Type heading, go to View and then select Details
  6. Look for the files of type DDF and delete them (there are typically 12, but can be fewer).
    • You can delete them one at a time
    • Or hold Ctrl while clicking them to select all the DDF files at once, and then delete
  7. When you open the company again in Sage 50, it will recreate a new set of DDF files.

 NOTE: If you're on a network, it's best to open the company on the server first after deleting the DDF files.
