| | How to delete the DDF files in a company folder |
| Resolution | | [BCB:1:Backup warning:ECB] - Locate your company's directory folder.
- Close Sage 50 and have any other users exit the company.
- Press the Windows key + E to open the File Explorer.
- Browse to your company data folder.
- Click the Type heading to sort the files by type.
- If you don't see the Type heading, go to View and then select Details
- Look for the files of type DDF and delete them (there are typically 12, but can be fewer).
- You can delete them one at a time
- Or hold Ctrl while clicking them to select all the DDF files at once, and then delete
- When you open the company again in Sage 50, it will recreate a new set of DDF files.
NOTE: If you're on a network, it's best to open the company on the server first after deleting the DDF files. [BCB:161:Chat 50 US:ECB]
