| How can I remove unwanted companies from my Open Previous Company or Open an existing company lists? |

Section 1: Remove company in Registry Editor IMPORTANT: Make a backup of the Registry beore proceeding. Refer to How do I backup or restore registry keys in the Windows Registry Editor?. - Close Sage 50—U.S. Edition.
- Press Windows+R keys or click Start, and then click Run.
- Type regedit in the Open box.
- Click OK.
- Select File, and then select Export.
- In the Export range, select All.
- Type Sage 50, and then press Save. This will backup the registry.
- Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Peachtree\Version\(Your Version #)\Open History\(Your Sage 50 Flavor).
- On the right side of the screen a list of companies and their directories (for example Company0, Company1) that have been opened on this computer.
- Right-click each company you want to remove from the list, and then select Delete.
- IMPORTANT! Do not delete the "Default" line
- When asked Are you sure you want to delete this value? Click Yes.
- Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Peachtree\Version\(Your Version #)\Options\(Your Sage 50 Flavor).
- Right-click lastcompanyopen, and then click Delete.
- Right-click lastcompanyopenlong, and then click Delete.
- Right-click lastcompanyopenshort, and then click Delete.
- Close Registry Editor.
- Verify the companies are no longer listed.
Note: This task must be performed on each machine if there are multiple machines that need companies removed from these lists. The company will not be deleted and will not reappear on the list again unless it is reopened. Section 2: Rename individual company folder - Close Sage 50.
- Browse to directory of individual company in Windows Explorer, referring to How to locate company directories.
- Right-click individual company folder.
- Select Rename.
- Rename company to a new name (Ex. OLDCompany).
- Open Sage 50 to verify company is no longer displayed.
