How do I give users access to setup, tasks, tools, reports, or inquiries?

Help, Product Documents will open to the PDF Guide, you can then enter the page # you need, in this case, Page 53 has several helpful links for setting up and changing security, the Security section starts on page 38.

Cause
Resolution
  1. In Sage Desktop, from Options, select Security Administration.
  2. Select Role Setup and select the role that applies to the user or task
  3. On the Users tab, verify that the appropriate users are assigned to the role. If you need to add a user, click Add.
  4. On the Tasks tab, select the items that apply to this role.
  5. Click Save Changes.
For changes to take effect, users will need to close all Sage 300 CRE applications and log back in.

Note: If the item is still not accessible to the user, the item may have been turned off via Security Permissions by Type. Please see the attached article 37165 DocLink: Why can't a non-admin user access a task or report? (Tasks turned off in security) for more details.
