Unlock files on the workstation

Reboot your workstation and check it resolves the error. If the error persists, proceed to the next step.

Close microkernel sessions on the server

NOTE: Don’t use the Pervasive Software or Zen Monitor Utility to delete users or active sessions when users are using any application. It causes data corruption. Close or disable all third-party applications that interface with Sage 300 CRE or Estimating, such as TimberScan, Paperless, Office Connector, and Tech Tool.

  1. If you're on version 17.1 or later and using SQL Replicator or Mobile Projects, stop the Replication before proceeding.
  2. Log out all users from Sage 300 CRE and Sage Estimating applications.
  3. Go to the Windows Start button and select Actian Zen 15Zen Monitor (or Actian PSQL 12, PSQL Monitor for version 24.1 and earlier).
  4. Click OK on the Select Server window.
  5. Click the MicroKernel Sessions tab to view each user's opened sessions. The Session column will display the user with opened sessions.
  6. Verify again that users have completely closed all Sage applications.
  7. To close sessions for individual users, right-click on the row and select Delete MDKE session.
  8. To close all open sessions, click the Delete all sessions () button in the top right.
  9. Exit the Pervasive / Zen Monitor.
  10. Restart Replication if using SQL Replicator or Mobile Projects.
