How to tell which Terminal Services user is accessing Pervasive/Actian/Zen files
Description

Resolution

In Pervasive/Actian/Zen version 10 and higher, the Pervasive Monitor Utility/Zen Monitor Utility can differentiate each user connected to the database engine through Windows Terminal Server or through Citrix Presentation Server.

For example, "Network address" ends with "[network address]:$3" the user is in Terminal Services session number three.

You can identify the user's session number on the Terminal Server:

  1. Open a Command Prompt running as administrator on the application server.
  2. At the Command prompt, type: quser.exe /SERVER:servername
    • There is a space between quser.exe and /server
    • Substitute your terminal server name for servername
  3. The session number is listed in the ID column.
