I can't install Enhanced Tax Reporting software or updates

Resolution

Update or install appears to run but still shows as needed

  1. Exit Sage BusinessWorks.
  2. Right-click the Sage BusinessWorks icon on your desktop and select Run as administrator.
  3. Once you’ve logged back in to Sage BusinessWorks, then attempt the form update again.
  4. If still encountering issues, log in to this computer as a local administrator and attempt the install again.
▼ Receive error "This application cannot be run directly" or the install isn't successful
  1. Verify the user is a local administrator of the computer.
    • Work with your computer technician to provide you with local administrator rights
    • Attempt the install again
  2. If you can’t have local administrator rights, run the install file as administrator.
  3. Log in to your computer as another Windows user that has local administrator rights.
  4. Install Enhanced Tax Reporting again.

Allow Aatrix update site in antivirus and firewall

  1. Temporarily disable your antivirus software.
  2. Configure your firewall to allow .exe files necessary to run Enhanced Tax Reporting and access to https://secureupdates.aatrix.com/.
  3. Visit the Aatrix website and evaluate the ability to download the files for Enhanced Tax Reporting.
  4. Update your firewall to allow access to the items found at https://www.aatrix.com/info/updates/tech-info.

Unable to process or print tax forms

If you’re still unable to install the software, reboot your server and workstation and attempt the install again.
