Report Designer Add-in (RDA) considerations

If importing older RDA reports into Sage 100 2015 or higher, follow the correct setup:

  • If it was installed, manually load the Excel add-in:
    • Open Excel
    • Select File, Options, Add-Ins
    • Choose Excel Add-Ins, then select Go
    • Select Browse
    • Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BIExcelFunctions\32bit\
    • Select Sage.BI.ExcelFunctions.xll

Export reports from the old version

To upgrade reports, first export them from the old installation:
  • Right-click the report, then select Export Report
  • Or select the report, then choose Tools, Export Report
  • In Save Export File As, choose a location and enter a file name
  • Select Save
  • Select OK when the export success message appears

Import reports into the new version

After exporting, import reports into the new Sage Intelligence version:
  • Right-click Home, then select Import Report
  • Or select Tools, Import Report from the toolbar
  • Select the .al_ report file, then select Open
  • In the Import Report window, select the Target Connection
    • Use Sage MAS (Auto Connect) for most reports
    • Use Sage MAS Consolidation for consolidated reports
  • Select the destination folder
  • Select Import
