| Resolution | Important precautions and requirements - Caution: Always create a backup before working with advanced Sage 100 Intelligence functionality.
- Seek help from a qualified Sage business partner, network administrator, or support analyst when needed.
Version compatibility rules - Only import reports created in the same or a lower Sage 100 Intelligence version.
- Reports created in 2014 won’t work correctly in SI 5.0, 4.50, or 4.40.
- Reports created in 4.50 import into 4.50, 2013, and 2014 versions.
- Premium SQL reports don’t work with non-SQL versions, and vice versa.
Repository requirements - Create a new, separate repository (share folder) for each Sage Intelligence version.
Supported version combinations - SI 2014 works with Sage 100 ERP 2014.
- SI 2014 Premium works with Sage 100 ERP Premium 2014.
- SI 5.0 works with Sage 100 ERP 2013.
- SI 5.0 SQL works with Sage 100 ERP Premium 2013.
- SI 4.50 works with Sage MAS 90/200 4.50.
- SI 4.50 SQL works with Sage MAS 200 SQL 4.50.
- SI 1.00.0177 works with Sage MAS 90/200 4.40.
Report Designer Add-in (RDA) considerations If importing older RDA reports into Sage 100 2015 or higher, follow the correct setup: - If Sage 100 Intelligence 2014 or earlier wasn’t installed, install the Report Designer Add-in 1.0.
- If it was installed, manually load the Excel add-in:
- Open Excel
- Select File, Options, Add-Ins
- Choose Excel Add-Ins, then select Go
- Select Browse
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BIExcelFunctions\32bit\
- Select Sage.BI.ExcelFunctions.xll
Export reports from the old version To upgrade reports, first export them from the old installation: - Right-click the report, then select Export Report
- Or select the report, then choose Tools, Export Report
- In Save Export File As, choose a location and enter a file name
- Select Save
- Select OK when the export success message appears
Import reports into the new version After exporting, import reports into the new Sage Intelligence version: - Right-click Home, then select Import Report
- Or select Tools, Import Report from the toolbar
- Select the .al_ report file, then select Open
- In the Import Report window, select the Target Connection
- Use Sage MAS (Auto Connect) for most reports
- Use Sage MAS Consolidation for consolidated reports
- Select the destination folder
- Select Import
- Select OK
- Select Action, Refresh from the toolbar
Note: You need the Sage 100 Intelligence Connector module to generate consolidated reports. Additional notes - Reporting Trees and Distribution Instructions don’t transfer automatically after upgrading.
