If you aren't sure where you store your reports, check the following setting. - Open Sage Desktop.
- Go to Applications, Common Tasks, File, Company Settings, File Locations.
- Scroll down to the Reports line.
- If there's no path listed, then Sage uses the default Reports location. If there's a path listed, then verify where to save the report.
- Default location: \\[server name]\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Report
Save a design attached to an article or email - Click the report link to download the report design.
- Select Save As.
- In the Save in box, browse to your Report folder.
- Example: \\[server name]\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Report folder
- Click Save.
NOTE: Some Internet Service Providers don’t allow direct access to an attachment. Download to an asset location, like the Downloads folder. Then, copy the report design from the saved location to your Report folder using Windows Explorer. Add a report to the Reports Menu See how to add reports to Purchasing (PO) and Inventory (IV). For other applications: - Start the application where you want to add the report to the Reports menu.
- From Reports, select Reports Manager.
- Click New.
- Type the report name you want to show on the menu in the Report name box.
- To assign this report to a menu group, click List to select an existing menu group. Leave the box blank to add the report to the main Reports menu.
- In the Source section, select the option depending on if this is a TS report design (Sage Report Designer report) or a Crystal report design.
NOTE: If the report provided by Sage is a Crystal report, the design name will include a (CR) designation. - Place your cursor in the File name box, click List.
- Browse to the report design you want to add.
- Select the report design and click Open.
- Click OK, then Close.
NOTE: The report may not show on the Reports menu if you use Sage 300 CRE security. In this case, modify Sage security so the operators have access to the report. Print a Report from Report Designer without adding it to the Reports menu - In Report Designer, from File, select Open Design.
- In the Look In box, select the drive and folder where you saved the report.
- Example: \\[server name]\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Report
- Select the report and click Open.
- From File, select Print. Make file selections as needed.
- Click Print Preview to view the report on screen or click Start to print the report.
