To make changes to certain fields using Audit setup activity, you must be an Application Administrator or be granted access through Security Administration in Role Setup, Tasks tab, Common Tasks, Security, Change Audit Setup Fields.
- Notes:
- Job Cost fields: Only unlimited operators (Application Administrators) can change total fields in Job Cost. A limited operator cannot change these fields even when security permissions allow use of Audit Setup Activity. This security control only exists in Job Cost.
- If you are logged into Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate as an application administrator but cannot change a field when the Audit setup activity check box is selected, the field is restricted.
- Use Audit setup activity with caution. Most field values in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate update through normal workflow and posting. Changing values without researching why they are incorrect may cause reconciliation issues later on.
