How to export standard (non-graphical) reports from Sage 100 ERP
Description

Resolution

Notes:

  • General Ledger and Report Master can export to several other formats (for example, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word). The standard reports (from the remaining modules) can be exported to ASCII text format only.
  • As each module is upgraded to the version 4.0 Business Framework standards, all reports will be in Crystal Report format and can be exported into any format that Crystal Reports supports.
  • These instructions do not apply to Crystal Reports.

Option 1:

  1. Generate the report.
  2. Select the information in the report.
  3. Copy the report information (right-click and select Copy, or press CTRL + C)
  4. Open the destination program.
  5. Right-click and select Paste, or press CTRL + V).

Option 2:

  1. Generate the report. (For example, expand Accounts Receivable, Reports, and then double-click Customer Listing.)
  2. Click the Printer Setup button to open the Printer Setup window.
  3. Click Export File the Output Type area, and then click OK.
  4. At the Export File Option window, the ASCII Text File - Report Format is the default selection. Select a different report format if desired (for only General Ledger or Report Master 3.71 and earlier).
  5. In the File Name field, enter the file name and location. The default location is the ..\Mas90\home\textout\ folder. The default file name contains the workstation's Terminal ID (for example, PT1011.TXT) in 3.71 and the user's ID in version 4.0 and later. Change the location and file name, if necessary.
Note: The Browse button cannot be used in Sage 100 Advanced because of network security.
  6. Click OK to return to the report options window.
  7. Click the Print button. The report will be exported to the selected location.
Note: In Sage 100 Advanced, the location path is relative to the server, not the workstation.
  8. Browse to the exported file, and open it with Notepad.
