A TS Billing Field Names DSN is not required to print customized invoices in Billing. For information on how to use an ODBC DSN in crystal reports, please refer to Article ID 21011: DocLink: How do I use an ODBC data source name (DSN) for my Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate data in a Crystal report?
Set up a TS Billing Field Names DSN to modify billing invoices in Crystal Reports as follows:
- From the Windows taskbar, click Start and select All Programs, ODBC, 32bit ODBC Administrator or if this is a 64-bit machine, browse to C:Windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe.
- From the User DSN tab, click Add.
- In the Create New Data Source window, select Timberline Data, and then click Finish.
- Type the Data Source Name as TS Billing Field Names and then specify the Database Type as an Accounting Data Folder.
- Click Select Folder and then select the folder that contains the data you want to use.
- Click OK.
- Click Options >>.
- Specify the Table and Field Naming as Dictionary names.
- Select the Use maximum table segment size check box.
- Clear the Shorten field and table names check box.
- Click OK twice.
