You do not have security to Setup, Cost Codes or Setup, Categories in Job Cost or the item does not exist on the Standard Cost Code or Standard Category table.
If you are setting up a new cost code for the job, you must have security to set up cost codes in Job Cost. Have your Sage administrator grant you the rights to set up the cost code in Job Cost.
- In Sage Desktop, logged in as a Sage 300 CRE Security Administrator. From the Tools or Options menu, select Security Administration.
- Select Role Setup and select the role that applies to the task
- On the Users tab, verify that the appropriate users are assigned to the role. If you need to add a user, click [Add].
- On the Tasks tab, select the Job Cost, Setup, Cost Codes or Job Cost, Setup, Categories.
- Click [Save]

Note: For changes to take effect, users will need to close all Sage 300 CRE applications and log back in.
