Note: Move Entries in Property Management moves transactions from history to history. To move transactions from current to history, see How do I run Clear Paid Items in Property Management? - Back up your History.pmt file. Refer to the attachment below for additional information.
- In Property Management, from the Tools menu, select Move Entries.
- Enter a date to limit which paid items and transactions will be moved in the Cutoff date box.
- To select transactions for one or more properties, leases, or tenants, click Conditions and then click [OK].
- Under From, verify the source History.pmt from which you want to move entries.
- Under To, click ... to specify the location of the new or existing History.pmt file to which you want to move entries.
- Click Start.
- Review the journal to verify that transactions moved as expected.
After you move entries, you can also use File Doctor to compact your files. This removes the empty space left in the History.pmt from moved entries and may improve the speed of Property Management processing. For the best performance, you should use File Doctor on the server where Sage 300 CRE is installed. - In Sage Desktop:
- Version 15.1 and older: from Tasks, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Common Tasks, Tools, File Doctor.
- Version 16.1 and later: from Applications, Common Tasks, Tools, File Doctor.
- Select the Compact good files check box.
- Select PM History transaction file and then click [Start].
