Resolution

Create a Cost Code WC table:

  1. In Payroll, from the Setup menu, select Other tables, Cost Code WC Tables.
  2. Type an ID in the Workers' comp group box and press Enter.
  3. For cost codes that will have specific workers' compensation codes, type the range of cost codes to assign the workers' compensation code. For example, the cost code range from 2-000 to 2-999 is for sitework, and the designated workers' compensation code is 3190.
    • In the From Cost Code box, click List to select the starting cost code 2-000.
    • In the Thru Cost Code box, click List to select the ending cost code 2-999.
    • In the WC Code box, click List to select the worker's compensation code 3190.
  4. Repeat for all applicable cost codes.
  5. Click Accept Table, and then click Close.

Set up the job to look at the cost code workers' compensation table:

  1. In Job Cost, from the Setup menu, select Jobs.
  2. Click List, select the job, and then click OK.
  3. Press the TAB key and select the Scope, PR and EQ tab.
  4. In the Workers' comp group box, click List.
  5. Select the correct cost code workers' compensation group ID, and click OK.
  6. Click Save, and then click Close.

Note: For cost codes or cost code ranges not included on the table, the workers' compensation code on the employee setup determines the rate.
