| How are the WC State and WC Code retrieved during time entry in payroll? |
Resolution | The WC State prefills from the following when entering time: The WC Codes prefill from: - The Cost Code WC Table (Payroll, Setup, Other Tables, Cost Code WC Tables) assigned Workers' comp group on the job in Job Cost (Job Cost, Setup, Jobs, Scope and PR tab)
- The default WC Code on the employee's setup. (Payroll, Setup, Employees, WC Code on the Entry Info tab)
Note: Changing the WC Code on the Employee setup or on the Cost Code WC Table will not automatically refresh the WC Code on previously entered time entry lines. If the wrong WC code is on time entries, you will either need to manually enter the new code using Change Unposted Time, or enter the new code in Enter Checks on each line of time. For checks that have been Printed, Accrued or Posted see How can I correct workers compensation on a previously issued check?" for instructions.
