| Error: "Application does not match country currently selected" |
Cause | Possible causes: - The regional settings on the computer are set for the wrong country.
- The wrong country was selected during installation of Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Sage 300 CRE, formerly called Timberline Office).
|
Resolution | Verify and correct the Windows regional setting as follows: - On the computer you are experiencing this issue, open the Windows Control Panel.
- Double-click Regional and Language Options.
- On the Administrative tab, click the "Change system locale..." button.
- Verify that English (United States), English (Canadian), or English (Australia) is selected under Current system locale.
- If the setting is incorrect, select the correct language setting and you will be prompted to restart the computer.
Correct the country that was selected during the server installation of Accounts Payable or Payroll, and reinstall those applications as follows: - Have all operators exit all Sage 300 CRE and Sage Estimating applications.
- Make a backup of all Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate program and data files. Refer to What files and folders do I need to backup for Sage 300 CRE Accounting Products 9.5 and later?
- Log on the Sage 300 CRE server as an administrator.
- Launch Sage Desktop and click on Help, About Desktop. Make a note of the exact version, revision and update that shows up in the parenthesis, such as (23.1.1 Update 1). Do not skip this step.
- Use Windows Explorer to locate the MISC folder, which by default is located at C:\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Misc.
- In the MISC folder, open the Country.txt file with Notepad.
- Note: This file may not show an extension if your Windows Explorer settings are set not to show known extensions.
- The Country.txt file should have a single line for the currently installed country name, such as United States, Australia, or Canada.
- If the incorrect country was selected during installation, make a backup copy of the Country.txt file.
- Use Notepad to edit the Country.txt file and enter the correct country. Enter United States, Australia, or Canada as appropriate.
- Open the Windows Registry Editor and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Timberline\OfficeInstall\Accounting\[version]\ (64-bit operating systems) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Timberline\OfficeInstall\Accounting\[version]\ (32-bit operating systems).
- Note: Depending on the version of Sage 300 CRE you are on, you may see the [version] number such as 15.1.0.
- Locate the Registry string value of SoftwareCountry and make sure it is set correctly. 1= USA, 2=Canada, 3=AUS
- From the Windows Start menu, select Control Panel, Programs and Features and uninstall Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Server.
- Locate your Sage 300 CRE product install package or a valid download that matches the same exact version and revision in step 4 above.
- WARNING: You must use the same version you had to perform the next step. Do NOT use any other version or revision.
- Reinstall Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate at the server by running Install.exe. Enter the appropriate registration name and activation codes when prompted.
- Reboot the server as necessary and log back into Windows as the same Windows username used to perform the modify install. Do not log in as a different Windows username.
- Apply the exact update noted in step 4 above.
