How to add an image to an asset

Note: The attachment folder must be set up to attach pdf files. If you're getting attachments errors, see How to set up PDF attachment folder Sage Fixed Asset - Depreciation or How to set up PDF attachment folder Network or Premier Depreciation

Note: Images (attachments) cannot be imported on the assets.

Images can be added to the Image Manager and attached to an asset at a later time, or images can be added to the Image Manager and to an asset at the same time.

  • Add images to the Image Manager. In Sage Fixed Assets Depreciation or Tracking, go to Customize, Image Manager:
    1. Type a new name for the image.
    2. Click Browse to select the image (See below for supported file types).
    3. Select the File Type you will be attaching to the asset?
    4. Select the image you want to add to Image Manager.
    5. Click Open.

  • Add an image to an assets, go to the Asset Detail view of the desired asset:
    1. Click on the Images tab.
    2. Click Link Images.
    3. The Image Manager will open; select the image from the File list.
    4. Click Link and click Yes to complete the process or click No to cancel.
  • Supported Image Types:

    • JPEG files (*.JPG)
    • Adobe PDF files (*.PDF)
    • Graphics Interchange Format files (*.GIF)
    • Portable Network Graphic files (*.PNG)
    • TIFF files (uncompressed only) (*.TIF)
    • Windows bitmaps (*.BMP)
