Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (Start date on ledger is too far in the past)
Description
Cause

General Ledger does not store activity on the account record for more than 23 prior periods. If you specify a date range too far in the past, exclamation points (!!) appear on the ledger next to the ending balance because the activity on the account record does not exist.

Resolution

Change the Start date on the Year-to-date Ledger. When you enter a date range for a ledger report, use dates that are within the prior 23 periods of your current period.

If you change the Start date on the ledger to a date within the prior 23 periods and exclamation points (!!) still appear, refer to Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger or Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (MASTER ARTICLE) for other possible causes and solutions.
