The !! appear on the Current or YTD Ledgers when the account transactions for the period don't equal the activity on the account for the same period.

Review these articles in the following order to identify the cause of the transactions not equaling the activity.

1. Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger or Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (GL Ledger Settings only set to CURRENT)
2. Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (Start date on ledger is too far in the past)
3. GL has an incorrect Current Period End date and calendar (calendar changed back to a prior period or prior years)
4. Exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger or Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (GL transaction posted to different transaction files)
5. I renamed the current.glt file and now double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger and Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger
6. Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger or Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (GL current file or history file got recreated due to a missing gateway file)
7. Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger or Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (entry updated the wrong period's activity field during posting)
8. Double exclamation marks (!!) appear on the Current Ledger or Year-to-date Ledger in General Ledger (activity field on account record doesn't equal transactions)
