| What does the Move to History function in Property Management Terminate Lease do? |
Resolution |
- The Move to History button in the Terminate Lease window changes the Status of the lease from Terminated to Historical. It does not move any data to historical files.
- In the Terminate Lease - Move to History Status window, the Net due tenant and Net due company amounts must be zero before you can click OK to change the status to Historical. If these amounts are not zero, click Reconcile Account to make the appropriate entries to bring the balances to zero.
- If the tenant has no other current or future leases, when a terminated lease is changed to historical you have the option to change the tenant's Account Status from Active to Closed.
- The lease will still be available in Change Lease and in reports and inquiries. The lease will not be available to select in other tasks and no entries can be created for it.
- If a lease is changed to Historical status by mistake or if correcting entries need to be made, see article 18023 "How do I change the status of a lease in Property Management from Historical to Terminated?".
