How do I change a terminated lease to historical status (Move to History) in Property Management?
Description
Cause
Resolution

To change a Lease Status from Terminated to Historical:

  1. In the Terminate Lease window, select the lease you want to change to historical status.
  2. Click Move to History.
  3. The Net due tenant and Net due company amounts must be zero. If they are amounts showing, this must be reconciled first using Reconcile Account. See article 19314 "How do I reconcile a terminated lease in Property Management?". Once the Net due tenant and Net due company amounts are zero, then click OK to move the lease to history.
  4. If this is the last lease associated with the tenant, a message appears asking if the tenant should be moved to a Closed status. Click Yes if you do not want to use this tenant ID again in the future.
  5. In the Terminate Lease window, click Close.

See What does the Move to History function in Property Management Terminate Lease do? for more information.
