Register Sage BusinessWorks to restore access

Missing modules, unavailable users, or login failures indicate that you haven't registered Sage BusinessWorks.

Restore system registration from a backup

Use this method when moving Sage BusinessWorks to a new server or computer.

  1. Create a backup of the SYSTEM from the old server or computer.
  2. Select File, Select Company, and choose SAMPLE.
  3. Restore the SYSTEM backup.
  4. Log out and then back in to Sage BusinessWorks.

After restoring, verify that modules, users, and tasks are available.

Manually register the program

Manually register the program during a new installation or when a system backup isn’t available.

  1. Open Sage BusinessWorks.
  2. Select Utilities, Registration Information.
  3. Enter the registration details to complete program registration.

After registration completes, close and reopen Sage BusinessWorks to confirm access.

NOTE:

Without restoring a system backup, you'll need to recreate existing users and custom forms.
