Error: "The company data you have selected has not been converted to the current Sage 50 Accounting format" when trying to copy reports
Description
Cause

Company was created in a different flavor. For instance, a Sage 50—U.S. Edition Premium Accounting company will be unable to copy reports from a Sage 50—U.S. Edition Accounting Quantum company.

Resolution
[BCB:1:Backup warning:ECB]

Option 1: Verify the Sage 50 version of the company (Accountant Edition only)

  1. Click File, Open Company.
  2. Select the company and click OK.
  3. When the company opens, look at company name in the title bar at the top and verify the version of the company.
  4. The company has to be the same flavor (Pro, Premium, Quantum, etc.) as the other company in order to copy reports.

Option 2: Convert company

The company may not have been opened and converted in the current version of Sage 50 yet. Open the company and allow it to convert, and then try copying the reports again.

Accountant Edition:

If you are using the Accountant Edition, you can upgrade the flavor of the company to the needed flavor. Refer to How to upgrade the flavor of a company using Accountant Edition.
Note: If you do not wish to convert the company to a different flavor, you can restore a backup of the company into a new company, convert the new company up to the higher flavor, then copy over the reports. After that the newly created company can be deleted. This does not affect the company count.
